Sandblasting is a general term used to describe the act of propelling very fine bits of material at high-velocity to clean or etch a surface. Sand used to be the most commonly used material, but since the lung disease silicosis is caused by extended inhalation of the dust created by sand, other materials are now used in its place. Any small, relatively uniform particles will work, such as steel grit, copper slag, walnut shells, powdered abrasives, even bits of coconut shell. Due to the dangers of inhaling dust during the process, sandblasting is carefully controlled, using an alternate air supply, protective wear, and proper ventilation. A sandblasting setup usually consists of three different parts: the abrasive itself, an air compressor, and a blaster nozzle. For etching and small object cleaning, a workstation to hold the piece of glass is also needed, as is some sort of collector to gather up excess dust. Sandblasting is primarily used for two somewhat different applications. The first of these is to clean a surface of anything that may be clinging to it. The second is to either etch or carve designs or words into glass or a similar material.
Copper slag is an abrasive blasting grit made of granulated slag from metal smelting processes (also called iron silicate). Copper slag abrasive is suitable for blast cleaning of steel and stone/concrete surfaces, removal of mill scale, rust, old paint, dirt etc. Suitable for SA-3, SA-2½ and SA-2. Copper slag blasting edia/grit - is manufactured of the granulated slag of copper refineries, and used for blast-cleaning of metal surface. In different industries it is called different names - abrasive powder, grit, copper slag grit, mineral grit, grinding grains, etc. - but its main use is still for surface blast-cleaning. Internationally the described media is manufactured in compliance with ISO 11126-3[1] Blasting the grit at the surface is the most advanced approach for metal surface cleaning before paint spraying. The blasting media manufactured from copper slag brings less harm to people and environment then sand. The product meets the most rigid health and ecological standards.
Airless paint sprayers come in many different configurations and designs but all have the same general features and controls. The basic idea behind how a sprayers works is that it pumps the paint and forces it out a very small tip on the spray gun. There is no air or air compressor involved, hence the name "airless" paint sprayer. They will apply a lot of paint very quickly and can make a tedious job very easy and quick.

Cement mortar has been used to line pipe since the 1840s. In the 1920s the process of centrifugal spinning was perfected. This process allowed the rapid application of linings to the entire pipe surface by placing a mixture of sand, cement and water into the pipe and rotating it at high speed. The centrifugal forces distribute the lining around the pipe circumference and compact it against the pipe wall. At the same time excess water is spun out, leaving a smooth surface mortar, with a very low water to cement ratio. Together with the low void content this results in a strong, low permeability cement mortar lining. Note these linings perform much better than cast concrete, due to the high cement content, low void content, and low water content of cement mortar.
Two part epoxy coatings were developed for heavy duty service on metal substrates and use less energy than heat-cured powder coatings. These systems generally use a 4:1 by volume mixing ratio, and dry quickly providing a tough, protective coating with excellent hardness. Their low volatility and water clean up makes them useful for factory cast iron, cast steel, cast aluminium applications and reduces exposure and flammability issues associated with solvent-borne coatings. They are usually used in industrial and automotive applications since they are more heat resistant than latex-based and alkyd-based paints. Epoxy paints tend to deteriorate, known as chalk out, due to UV exposure.
